Bishop's Class of 2011 is on their way!

The class of 2011 would like to thank the generous and rowdy members of
the class of 1961 for their participation in the Commencement ceremonies.
They really added to the long-running tradition of the event, and it was
odd to think that someday our class will return and do the same thing. So
again, thank you class of 1961!

The lazy days of summer have finally impressed themselves upon the recent
graduates of the Class of 2011.

The beach beckons, the surf sings, and sleep is abundant. Some alumni are
traveling, often to places like Europe or Mexico, while others are content
to simply tan by the pool.
It is universally agreed; there are very nice aspects about summer.

However, many of the recent alums are not just relaxing, but also working
and learning. More than a few have internships at places like Scripps and
Qualcomm, and others work at the Fair, as salespeople, as telefunders, or
even as sustainable farmers. One group of students has formed a book club
to continue reading great literature, and another group roams San Diego
restaurants in search of culinary adventures.

In short, a Bishopian work ethic still prevails even through the heat of
summer.
