Emily Holland, who graduated from Bishop's in 1997, is a tv producer, human right's law scholar and now the author of a newly- released book. And Still Peace Did Not Come is a memoir co-written by Holland about a woman who spent her life gathering the stories of former child soldiers and their victims in her home country of Liberia. After Bishop's, Emily went on to graduate from Princeton magna cum laude, followed by work at ABC News and CNN. Emily also collaborated with filmmaker Ted Braun on "Darfur Now", a film co-produced by Don Cheadle.
While Emily was a special projects officer for the International Rescue Committee, she had the opportunity to work with Tom Brokaw in Rwanda. She is currently pursuing her J.D. at Berkeley Law School, specializing in human rights and transitional justice. Emily will be at Warwick's in La Jolla for a discussion and signing of her book on April 20 at 7:30 p.m..
